Let’s share ideas from COVID-19 stay home order
There are some challenges when we are in a compulsory stay home order, just as we are experiencing right now due to COVID-19. Like other things, some of the challenges become blessings in disguise. The GHHS President Sheila Carson, in one of her messages to members and volunteers actually shared what she has been up to during this stay home order, and also gave some great suggestions of how those experiences could become beneficial. Below are the two things Sheila suggested (copied directly from her message) after life returns to normal:
- “I suspect all you quilters out there (and I know there are several of you) have been able to make a dent in your fabric stash.I know I certainly have. Maybe we need to get together and plan an exhibit of ‘pandemic quilts’.”
- “Those of you who have been rekindling your love of baking may have some great ideas to share with the kitchen crew for the teas when we are able to resume them.”
In the light of the above ideas, as we anticipate life returning to normal soon, let us know if you are interested in any of the two suggestions above OR if you have an experience you wish to share. Please send an email to email@example.com to indicate your interest in the quilt project (if it takes off), OR share your favorite recipes OR share another great idea from your experience being at home.
