   The Government House Historical Society brings you enticing recipes plus tidbits of information on the special meals presented for dignitaries over the years. Some recipes from these suppers are even included! Read about the “fad” foods from each decade.
   This cookbook will be a lovely addition for any kitchen enthusiast. Any family member would treasure this recipe book. I love mine.

   Hats Off for a great job on the cookbook!!!

   Stayed awake last night reading it. Have some recipes marked to make.

   Especially enjoyed the quotes. Found the historical food, city and world history fascinating. Love the size and page layout and especially the coil binding! I also loved the index, so helpful! The feature pages of basic cooking information are terrific.

   I know you put a lot of work into this book. I appreciate it so o o much!

   My cookbook has arrived! It is just as promised – interesting old menus from formal dinners, old recipes, and newer ones too! It’s excellent – even has such important features of cookbooks of this type as aphorisms scattered throughout. The food photos are quite spectacular.
   But the best parts for me – because they were a surprise – were the historical tidbits about the commercial food industry through the decades. That was information I didn’t know – for example that Kraft Dinner dates from 1937. Who knew?
   So, congratulations to you all. I hope you feel a well-deserved sense of satisfaction for a job well done.
   I haven’t tried any of the recipes yet, but I will!
